Do I qualify for any assistance programs if I heat with an LP/oil/wood heating system, but I want to switch to a natural gas heating system from a participating heating utility?
Eligibility is based on how the customer is currently heating their home.
Unfortunately no, eligibility for Focus on Energy’s Targeted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR is based on how the customer is currently heating their home not on how they will be heating their home. The Targeted Home Performance Program is unable to help customers pay for the fuel switch from an LP/oil/wood heating system to a natural gas heating system (natural gas supplied by a participating utility).
