ENERGY STAR was created to help you use less energy.
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
The ENERGY STAR label is put on products that exceed minimum federal energy efficiency standards. Products of any brand or manufacturer can qualify to receive the ENERGY STAR label. Products in more than 40 categories (lighting, appliances, home electronics, heating systems, etc.) are eligible for the ENERGY STAR. They use less energy, save money, and help protect the environment. You can even buy an ENERGY STAR home or hire a consultant partnering with Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program who has been specially trained to assess homes and make them more energy efficient.
